Approvals¶
The Approvals page lists Edges that are waiting for an administrator to accept them. Open Approvals in the sidebar.
When an Edge appears here¶
An Edge appears here when it enrolled with a command that required approval. You turn this on in the Add Edge dialog with the checkbox Require approval before the device is activated. See Edges list and Add Edge.
Until you decide, the Edge has the status Pending approval. It is not active.
Note
This page is only about new Edges. It is not the second approver setting on the Users and roles page.
Review a pending Edge¶
The page title is Pending approvals. Each card shows:

| Edge name | The name given in Add Edge. |
| Site / Group | Where the Edge will be placed. |
| Source IP | The address the Edge connected from, or "Source IP unknown". |
| Metadata | Details the device reported about itself, as JSON. |
Check that the source IP and the metadata match the device you expect. If the list is empty, the page shows "Nothing is waiting."
Approve or reject¶
Owners and admins see two buttons on each card. Other roles see the list only.

| Approve | The Edge becomes active. |
| Reject | The Edge is deactivated and does not come online. |
Both actions are recorded in Audit as device.enroll_approve and device.enroll_reject.
To use a rejected device later, enrol it again with Add Edge.
Messages¶
An error shows in red on the card.
